About Cyber Falcon

Cybersecurity for businesses that don't have a security department, run by someone who has actually held the pager, shipped the code, and run the database.

Who you're working with

Cyber Falcon is founded and led by Ryan Williams, whose career climbed the full stack of modern IT before it specialized in defending it. He started on the tech-support front line, moved into software engineering, then into enterprise DevOps, and from there into security. Every rung of that ladder still shows up in the work: a security finding from someone who has actually built, deployed, and operated the systems they are testing lands differently than one from a scanner.

That trajectory has one constant: a relentless push toward the leading edge. When a technology matters, Ryan goes deep and gets credentialed rather than skimming the surface, which is why Cyber Falcon can speak to the newest problems (AI security, Oracle 23ai) with the same authority as the fundamentals.

Education and credentials

  • M.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Western Governors University
  • B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology, DeVry University
  • CompTIA PenTest+ ce, offensive security and penetration testing
  • CompTIA CySA+ ce, threat detection and security analysis
CompTIA PenTest+ ce certified CompTIA CySA+ ce certified

Formal degrees, current certifications, and the operational scars to back them up.

The database specialty

Most security firms treat the database as a black box. Cyber Falcon treats it as home turf. Years as an enterprise Oracle DBA mean genuine, hands-on depth: RMAN backup and recovery, Data Guard replication, GoldenGate, Autonomous Database, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), plus the security internals most shops never touch: Database Vault, SQL Firewall, Transparent Data Encryption, unified auditing, and LogMiner forensics. That is why securing Oracle's newest AI database features, where the attack surface and the data live in the same box, is a natural extension of the work rather than a stretch. The data is where the business actually lives, and it deserves an expert defending it.

How we work

Every engagement maps to the frameworks auditors and insurers actually ask about: NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and the CIS Controls. Findings arrive with fixes that respect how businesses really run, because they come from someone who has run them. No fluff, no fear-selling, just clear priorities and the reasoning behind each.

Why "Cyber Falcon"

A falcon doesn't patrol everything at once; it watches precisely, from altitude, and commits fast when something moves. That's the doctrine here: focused visibility, framework-guided judgment, and quick, decisive response. Based in Ohio, serving small and mid-sized businesses nationwide.
